CPVC is widely used in all kinds of extruded products: pipes, plates, profiles, sheets, etc. Its application is mainly some chemical industry corrosion environment, places with fire protection requirements, and occasions with heat resistance requirements, and the performance of ordinary PVC resin can not meet the requirements.

CPVC Applications

1.CPVC pipe.
It has broad development prospects in high temperature fluid (such as hot water) conveying and power cable pipes. CPVC pipe is mainly used in the following aspects:
Oil field crude oil gathering and transportation pipe; Heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant pipes, plates, sheets for chemical industry;
Water supply and drainage pipes for hot and warm water;
High voltage, ultra high voltage power transmission cable protection sleeve.

2. Chemical preservative products.
Used in the production of pall ring, plum ring, moment saddle ring, step ring and other chemical tower packing. Due to its excellent corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance, CPVC is widely used in chlorine gas drying tower and tail gas absorption tower in chlor-alkali industry, which has the advantages of high compression strength and long service life, and other applications include reactors and valves.

3. Fire-fighting materials
Due to its excellent flame retardant and smoke resistance, CPVC has become the first choice for plastic products with strict fire protection requirements, including packaging of electronic and electrical products, building decoration, transportation facilities, aviation and other fields.

4. Injection molded products
CPVC resin can be used to produce pipe fittings for water supply pipes, filter materials, dehydrators, etc., and can also produce electrical and electronic parts such as wire slots, conductor protective layers, switches, fuse protective covers, cable insulation materials, etc.

5. Rolled sheet
It can be used to manufacture chemical and corrosion resistant chemical equipment, such as reactors, valves, electrolyzers, etc.

6. Composite materials
The composite material composed of CPVC and some inorganic or organic fibers has good impact resistance and heat resistance than the composite material of other resins, and can be made into plates, pipes, bellows, profiles and so on.

7. Modification of PVC fiber
The washing and drying temperature of domestic chlorinated fiber should not exceed 60℃, and 30% CPVC should be added when spinning chlorinated fiber, which can greatly improve the heat resistance of the product, and the shrinkage rate is reduced from the original 50% to less than 10%

8. Foam material
The heat resistance of CPVC foam material is better than that of PVC foam material, and the shrinkage rate at high temperature is very small, so it can be used as thermal insulation material for hot water pipes and steam pipes. CPVC with a chlorine content of more than 60% has a very good retention of solvents. CPVC can be foamed in a solvent that can produce gas when heated, and a uniform, microporous foamed gas can be obtained. Solvents such as hydrocarbons, ethers and aldehydes with boiling points of 50~160 ° C can be used as blowing agents.

9. Other applications
The blending of CPVC with thermoplastic or thermoset plastics can significantly improve the physical and mechanical properties of these materials, such as improving the heat resistance of products.
Abroad, CPVC resin with higher impact resistance and better transparency has been prepared by improving the production process, which can be used in automobiles, audio and video products, etc.
